Welcome to Ardley Bridge MPD at Fotopic- a photo diary of sorts documenting my various model railway projects.
Ardley Bridge was originally conceived as a model railway- a maintenance and fueling depot for locomotives. Ardley Bridge was going to have permanent track, an overgrown 16’ shunting plank. You’ll find the plans in the galleries. A year after construction started however, I decided to switch to a modular concept for portability. Portability wasn’t for the exhibition circuit, it was so that I could photograph the modules outside, or put them in my loft should a proper model railway develop there.
I don’t like to play shunting games; I’m not particularly into watching the trains go round and round. I do like to photograph them however, and that’s what Ardley Bridge is all about…
Cheers,
